Thanks for checking us out!

You've discovered the website of the Syracuse University Alumni Club of WJPZ Radio, the Greatest Media Classroom on any College Campus in the Country.

Now in its 35th year of broadcasting, WJPZ has been featured in many industry publications including Radio & Records, Radio Ink, Billboard, Inside Radio, Radio World, FMQB, and others for its innovative programming and business model and the graduates it has produced. Completely student owned and operated, WJPZ boasts 11 winners of the prestigious John Bayliss Broadcast Foundation Scholarship. Each year more than 100 students perform every on- and off-air function of a commercial radio station, and while it does not gauge its success as a learning facility by ratings, WJPZ nonetheless frequently appears in local Syracuse ratings.

What happens to those students when they graduate? They form the most active alumni association of any college radio station in the country. The purposes of the association are: 1) To raise the profile of WJPZ on and off campus as the greatest media classroom on any college campus in the country 2) To provide an educational and professional support system for the current staff members and alumni of WJPZ Radio; and 3) To develop the next generation of communications, marketing and entertainment industry leaders.
