The WJPZ Alumni Association's 5th annual Fall Conference drew over 30 current WJPZ students to Newhouse I on Saturday, September 16th. This year's theme was "Brilliant at the Basics," and focused on executing the fundamentals of radio. The day-long event featured sessions on talent prep and execution, promotions brainstorming and planning, leadership and communication skills, and the importance of having focus on your product both on and off the air.
"I thought that this year especially, we were able to come up with some really good and practical ideas that can and will be implemented at the station,” said WJPZ Program Director Lindsay Truesdell.
